it is allergy week here at the doctors and allergists dr. Nita Ogden is here with us with her allergy tips and allergies are caused by allergens that trigger sneezing runny nose and itchy watery eyes nose or your throat yes and the most common allergens are pollen dust mite mold and animal dander and those can be very hard to avoid so frequently clean anything that may be a magnet for those allergens I’m talking about pets close your floors and anything that collects dust and avoid outdoor activities between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. when we know those pollen counts are at their highest that’s right and also keep your windows closed don’t put a fan in front of a window that’s gonna draw more pollen in and in over-the-counter antihistamine can actually help ease your symptoms but remember not all allergy medications work the same way correct that’s because each person has a unique internal chemistry that responds differently to different medications right so it’s important that a person really finds what works for them what’s the best solution I like allegra allergy it works quickly it’s non drowsy and it provides 24-hour relief of your worst indoor and outdoor allergies great tips alright so consult your doctor if you have concerns about your allergies and stay tuned for more this week with allergy solutions you
