– If someone’s having an asthma attack, you need the blue reliever inhaler. Take off the cap, shake it,
encourage them to breathe out, and they need to push it at
the same time as breathing in. They will know how to use it, but they may need your help. If they have a spacer device,
encourage them to use that. They would take a couple
of puffs initially. If that doesn’t help, they
can take an additional puff every two minutes, and if they still need it, they can still use it. Ideally up to a maximum of 10 puffs, and get an ambulance on the way quickly.
