D is for Douglas Fir essential oil

Hey guys today’s oil in our A to Z series
is D is for Douglas Fir. I really, really love the smell of this one. So Douglas Fir is Native to North America
and it’s one of those massive conifer trees that grow hundreds of feet, but unfortunately
it got introduced in New Zealand and became a very invasive species that really took over
the whole landscape and were just growing everywhere and not allowing native plants
to grow anymore and pretty much killing off the native wildlife there so doTERRA have
gone into New Zealand and created a co-impact sourcing initiative to try and help deal with
this problem of Douglas Fir taking over. So it’s pretty amazing what they’re doing
over there. But Douglas Fir has a lot of uses. It smells absolutely amazing and it’s really
good for cleansing the skin. So often I make my own body wash just with
getting plain, Dr Bronner’s castille soap and adding like 10 or 15 drops of Douglas
Fir, Grapefruit is a really nice combination with Douglas Fir as well, so either diffused
or again added to the castille soap. I also love, love making sugar scrubs which
is one of my absolute favourite products on the planet. We do have our own doTERRA sugar scrub now
as well which you can order from the US warehouse but if you want to make your own it’s really
really easy just get like a glass jar, just get you know raw sugar and coconut oil and
mix whatever essential oils you want in. So again Douglas Fir and Grapefruit or Douglas
Fir and Frankincense is a stunning combination as well. So it will cleanse the skin and the sugar
and oil just makes your skin baby smooth and soft. So emotionally Douglas Fir is the Oil of Generational
Wisdom. So it really helps break down those kind of
negative patterns that have been passed down from generation to generation and it really
helps people live according to their own conscience and values and letting go of those harmful
patterns. So it teaches basically that each generation
can be a gift of new life, new growth and new beginnings and can also assist with increasing
the bond within your family as well so it encourages healthy family dynamics where people
and meaningful relationships are valued over blind loyalty to tradition. So the negative emotions it addresses are
negative generational patterns and being burdened by the issues of others. Positive properties it brings through are
generational healing, respect for elders, wisdom and learning from the past. So as always if you’re wanting essential oils
for personal or business use feel free to send me a message or follow the link in this
post and feel free to like, comment, tag and share this video with your friends and in
groups. Thanks for watching! Bye!
