technology treatment for patients with severe asthma. Dr. Jamie Hey explains. – Bronchial thermoplasty is
a new treatment for asthma, and it is a technique
whereby a scope is inserted into the lungs, and treatment is given to decrease the ability of the muscle in the lungs to cause spasm, which is one of the hallmarks of asthma. – [Amy] Severe asthma patients are just looking for something
to make them feel better. This treatment is given three times over the course of a few months and permits patients to
control their symptoms. – This procedure allows a person to come off of their medications, their high-dose medications
