This is 60 seconds for safety on OSHA
respirator protection. I am John Lemansky, an industrial hygienists with EHS
occupational health and safety The ASU respirator protection program applies to
paid university faculty, staff and student workers. There are three types of
approved respirator protection. These include n95, half-face and full-face
respirators. Respirator use is classified as either voluntary or mandatory use. Specific steps must be completed prior to voluntary or mandatory use. Mandatory
use of half and full -face respirator protection requires an ASU Health
Services medical evaluation. Mandatory use of n95 respirators
requires an ASU Health Service medical evaluation. Voluntary use
of half and full face respirators requires an ASU Health Services medical
evaluation. Users must be provided a copy of OSHA 19 10.1 34 appendix D. Respirator medical clearance and fit testing is not required for n95 voluntary use. For questions about how to get fit tested contact EHS.
