I’d apply this below my eyes what?! Even if you can’t draw, you can just trace it easily and have a high quality finished product Hello ๐Ÿ™‚ We are Park Jinu and Eunjeong Today we are going to review study equipment we used the most during high-school and recommend them to you guys! Firstly I want to recommend this pencil case Eun Jong: This is a “LOON-LOON” pencil case Jin Woo: ??Lol JW: What type of pencil case?? EJ: Loon Loon I got this pencil case when I first went to high-school and used for 3 years And because I liked it so much, when I went to uni I bought another one! This is really useful because if you look on the inside and You can put things inside including erasers It makes well use of space available so I’d like to recommend this pencil case to you guys And I want to introduce this name stamp You can stamp the sides of your textbooks If you try to write using a permanent marker, it often doesn’t turn out right but with this stamp, if you stamp you’ll get a name printed out in a pretty font my friends copied me it looks handwritten my friends thought my writing was really neat but it was the stamp but it was, in fact, this stamp next, I want to share some of the notebooks I’ve used these are already well known The inner pages are in a grid format so it’s very easy to use Jinu: I’ve never seen it before Eunjeong: it’s very popular currently because it’s grid papers. it’s convenient to use you can easily rule lines too this notebook has a high utility recently, they’ve started to make it with a wire spiral so it’s even handier This is a Motemote Planner You can divide your timetable into hourly and write in your school timetable I found this very satisfactory And, when you’re tired, what did you use to do in high school? Me? In high school? I just slept Oh you slept? (unexpected reply) My health is my priority Yes of course Whenever I felt sleepy, I used this to help me stay awake Do you know what this is? Is it a lip balm? It looks like one, right? This is called Thai inhaler( Ya dom) if you sniff it There’s a mint scent That’s so overwhelming, are you sure they’re not chili flakes? It wakes you up wide awake You and twist it open at the bottom (Smear a tiny bit on your finger) And apply it below your eyes Don’t apply it too close to your eyes, it’ll burn Just above your cheeks I’ve found this so useful to help me stay awake Also, I think ear plugs are one of high school students essentials – 3m Ear plugs It can get quite noisy in class This blocks out background sound quite effectively it helps me focus on my own study there are stringless ear plugs but I also found wired earplugs useful Jinu: I used to always lose my earplugs so I ended up buying one like that I hated having to take it on and off during exams so I’ll wear it around my neck For example, after listening section in English I have to answer the questions, right? I’ll have to pick up my earplugs and quickly put it in, But with this item, because this is made of silicon I can wear it around my neck And just pop it in when I need to The downside of this is that it’s not as good as blocking out noise compared to the stringless one But I still used it during my Sunueng exams And, as all of you know I found this stopwatch useful you guys know this so let’s quickly skip to the next item This is an Artbox hairband I didn’t like my hair getting in the way when I study Can you put it on? This…this…. Ahh I’ll show you a photo (of me I wear this when I’d study it helped me concentrate and not have my hair get in the way for those who really want to study vigorously try this item out! 9th item is Post-it (sticky notes) When I used to study for Snuneung in literature especially I’d write a summary on post-it and stick it on you could also try summarising each page to maximize its readability and there is an amazing item I want to show you guys do you know what this is? no I don’t, what is it? is it an oil control film? it looks like one right! it’s a see through sticky note for those who can’t draw like myself you can trace it onto here and create a high-quality picture you can’t easily do that with a normal sticky note but with this see-through sticky note, you can easily trace whatever you need to because its see-through its also easier to write on I want to recommend the stationery I’ve found useful Sharpie highlighters this is yellow but it’s not too bright where it would hurt your eyes it highlights quite smoothly so this was very satisfactory I’ve also found stabilo highlighter colours very pretty to use too I’d like to talk about some erasers too Faber castell’s eraser is very famous and mechanical pencil I’d like to recommend is Snuneung mechanical pencil using this will help you get used to what you’ll be using in real exam and this oxford notebook is also very good the pages have a perforated line you can rip off pages to use them this is quite useful for 2nd language subjects I’ve used this a lot this is very good for firstly when you can’t follow the lesson you can’t write nice orderly notes right? so when you need to tidy up and make notes again it’s very handy to use just write whatever you need to in class and then tidy up in this notebook and then rip off the pages and organize it into a folder and make your own notes like this the good thing about organising it into a clearfile is in subjects where they give you a lot of handouts you can have both notes next to each other to study so I really recommend this method I agree because I spend the majority of my time sitting down I used this Artbox sitting cushion quite a bit have you ever got a sore bum from sitting down too long? too many times. I get swollen legs, sore bum… that’s right, I’d have breaks every 50 min so it wasn’t a problem then but during my study year, my bottom would hurt this is slightly embarrassing but I even got a boil then it got so bad I had to be admitted for a quick operation that’s when I thought I really need this cushion before you guys get sick, make sure you purchase one for your bottoms too! and lastly, a reading desk (morning glory reading desk) rather than having two books opened on desk it’s less painless for my neck to use this reading desk we looked at Eunjeong’s impressive list of stationery I’ve brought my old pencil case I use this in my class I could use a pencil case with a zip but I’d prefer this so I can quickly grab whatever I need in class and because clinical class lectures are fast paced so I’ve given up on writing my notes meticulously but chose speed so in each subject, we receive lecture notes for example, if I want to study X professors X subject I need to quickly find that page on first day of uni, I’d choose this over study I use this sticky note to divide each professor’s lessons this is psychiatry my notes from lessons are written in red and I’d use a black pen to fill in extra notes that I think are important after class and most importantly, I use a purple pen to highlight the questions that have been in past exams this is in blue I think that’s because I’ve run out of purple pens at that time Just like how Jinu divided his notes using different colored pens I also did that in high school too I would prepare lessons in blue or black and rank the importance and use purple or other colored pens in class to take notes it was easy to distinguish what was from where that way because we cover a comical amount in university sometimes its too time pressured to go over everything so I chose to go over roughly three times first round, I’d use a pink pen and go over the important bits I’d cover the same content in 30mins when it would take others 3 hours but I’d only cover the high yield content the second time, I’d cover bit more details and use a different colored pen each time I’m not very good with memorization so repetition benefits me if I study every detail, I’d forget the things I first studied so now I aim to get the just of everything and focus on repetition I…I also.. have a toothbrush because I spend all day at school professors give us handouts with a black background at times its difficult to write on this with colored pens so I always have a white pen in case this happens Eunjeong: I think that’s a really useful tip! Today we talked about various items we use and have used if you think you’ll find any of these useful purchase it and utilize it to maximize your study we’ve introduced some items very briefly we’d like to also hear what you guys have used to study or some things you wish you had or any questions you may have, please comment and let us know! Thank you~ good bye! I feel like a I’m the preclinical student and you’re a clinical student (looking through Eunjeong’s notes) oh it’s German what?! German? she’s exceptional… :O
