When Should I Go to the Emergency Room (ER) for an Asthma Attack?

– You should come to the
emergency room for asthma if you are having severe
shortness of breath. This also includes if
you’re using your inhaler and it is not working. Also, usually we prescribe inhalers one to two puffs every four
hours, and if you feel like you’re having to use it more than normal, that’s another sign that
you should probably come to the emergency room to get checked out.
